Trend Report: London Fashion Week - September 2017

Although we’ve just prepared ourselves with warm trench coats and silk scarves for the autumn and winter season, this past week reminded us of everything we love about spring and summer with the upcoming SS18 collections. From Topshop and Peter Pilotto to Versace Versus and Emporio Armani, the London Fashion Week presented various iconic brands and their visions for 2018. In case you missed the events, we gathered the highlights of the September Fashion Week for you, from the first row!

To give you a taste of the best UK and international fashion brands, this season’s London Fashion Week hosted over 100 fashion designer, and the overall theme of the event seemed to be edgy, romantic and feminine with lots of pastels, florals and conceptual designs. Besides the traditional catwalk shows (featuring famous supermodels and fashion bloggers), there were also exclusive fashion talks and workshops with industry professionals about the rising fashion industry, so it was the perfect event for anyone interested in fashion.

Sheer Pastels

Emporio Armani, mostly known for clean lines and minimalist designs, showed us a completely new side of the brand with a softer, more feminine vibe. This collection featured shades such as lavender, baby blue, mint and cotton candy pink, and the beautiful colour palette was matched with similarly beautiful, ruffled and sheer materials.

Metallic & Emerald

Topshop is the master of mixing high street and high end elements together: the idea of statement necklaces, the satin bralettes and figure hugging dresses matched with oversized metallic bombers is exactly what we love about the British brand!

Urban & Sophisticated

The Mary Katrantzou collection felt like a whole new edition of the Adidas x Mary collabs, in the best way possible. The colourful, oversized floral print looks stunning with the athletic elements (such as the racer back dresses and the high neck bombers), and it’s a trend that everyone will enjoy rocking.

Of course, the Fashion Week wouldn’t be as much fun without the creative street style looks that bloggers, stylists, models and celebrities wear to the event – and here are our favourite picks!

Soon after London Fashion Week, the London Fashion Week Festival is coming up with endless fashion events, pep-talks from the best of the industry and of course, emerging designer catwalks. Between September 21 and 24, you can become part of the huge, London fashion family one more time!
